About me
I’ve always had a passion for the arts and design since I was a little girl. I have adored great photography but thought I could never afford to do it as a profession. Once my brother passed away in a tragic car accident I realized the truly important things in life. I knew I had to pursue my dreams and jumped into photography head first. I made a great decision and have never looked back.
I grew up in the rural community in Illinois and some of my earliest memories are playing in our beautiful nature filled back yard. This is the type of environment that I will always feel at home in, but I find myself also loving the city life since I recently moved here from Chicago. Both the country and city life are incorporated into my work as both are very important to me.
I pride myself on being able to see creative ideas and locations that others might just think as a dump. I love to incorporate a lot of color into my pictures, but also like the classic feel of a great black and white picture. My favorite feature I like to incorporate in my work is the extreme contrast in a picture such as a woman in a wedding dress in a grungy alley, or a little girl in a tutu in front of a rough textured brick wall. What’s most important is a setting you and your family feel comfortable and will result in a piece of artwork.
